ON PROPER CORRECTION OF VOTER LIST

On 27 th July a memorandum has been submitted to Gaighata B.D.O. dist. North 24 Parganas, jointly by Hindu Samhati and All India Refugee Front in protest of irregularities and anti Hindu attitude of government and Election Commission. On one side the govt. and the Election Commission are denying voting rights to the Hindu Refugees who have come to India after being persecuted in Bangladesh, on the other side, under the pressure of the anti national secular political parties, the Commission is showing no inhibition to enroll the names of thousands and thousands of illegal Bangladeshi Muslims.

The huge gathering on the occasion of this mass deputation shows the state of condition of these hapless Hindu Refugees.

The memorandum was submitted to Mr. Partha Bhowmik, the B.D.O. of Gaighata Block at his office at Chandpara Bazar. HINDU CONFIDENCE RESTORED AT DALANGHATA

RETURN RATHA YATRA FESTIVAL

AT DALANGHATA PASSED PEACEFULLY.

HINDU CONFIDENCE RESTORED.

On 21st July, there was Return Ratha Yatra Festival at Dalanghata in South 24 Parganas district. The situation was tense as the place witnessed a major communal attack by the Muslim miscreants in the area on last 14th July in which 2 Hindu Temples were ransacked, Deities were broken, Police were attacked, Police vehicles were burnt and huge public property was damaged. It was apprehended that the turn out of the Hindu disciples in this Return Ratha Yatra will be less.

So, Hindu Samhati volunteers spread out over the villages around, organized village meetings, mobilized people and encouraged them to attend the Festival without fear. The message was conveyed that Hindu Samhati workers are determined to protect the Hindus in the Festival from any attack or humiliation from any quarter.

So, the turn out in the Yatra Festival was huge. Hindu women in large number joined the Festival. The Hindu people in this district are not really cowards.

Since 20th July evening many news and/or rumors were reaching to HS office that a large number of Muslim criminals with lethal arms from outside were being brought to the area, etc. HS workers remained alert about the situation. Since yesterday morning more than 400 HS volunteers assembled at the Festival place. They put up stalls with microphones from which announcements were made. Speeches and religious discourses by the Seers and Hindu leaders were delivered. Police contingent was deputed there to maintain law and order. HS volunteers kept strict vigil throughout the Ratha Yatra route and the Festival place.

Till afternoon Police was cooperative. But anti Hindu forces were active behind the scene. Hence, since afternoon Police behaviour started changing. First they tried to threaten the HS workers to stop the speeches. Heated arguments took place. Then they tried to wrap the Festival early. The Officer in Charge of the Kulpi police station Mr. Suryasekhar Chakraborty and one Sub Inspector Mr. A. K. Mandal misbehaved with the Hindu Samhati representatives. But the enthusiastic Hindu public protested vehemently and thwarted their ill motivated move.

Srimad Madan Prabhuji of Gaudiya Math, Hindu Samhati leaders Upananda Brahmachari and Advocate Tapan Biswas addressed the gathering. The whole Return Ratha Yatra Festival of Dalanghata passed of peacefully.

Confidence of Hindu people in general and HS workers in particular restored and enhanced.

DALANGHATA COMMUNAL RIOT on 14 JULY

In Dalanghata near Diamond Harbour, Rath Festival was in full swing on 13 July. Huge crowd was there.

Muslim youths were misbehaving with Hindu girls. This is a regular feature in this district of South 24 Parganas. One Hindu girl of Bahadurpur slapped a Muslim boy for molesting her. The matter was sorted out.

Next one Muslim boy of Berandari village stole 2 saplings from one nursery shop owned by a Hindu. Mela committee volunteers caught him and thrashed him.

The Muslims targeted 2 Hindu boys. The Muslims abducted those 2 boys in the dark of night and took them to Muslim dominated Fakirpara. Mela Committee informed the police, rushed to Fakirpara and rescued the Hindu boys with the help of police.

The Muslims could not tolerate this.

The Muslims broke some tiles of the urinal of the village mosque, scattered them, poured some filth inside the mosque. Then they started announcing from the microphone of the mosque that Hindus have attacked and broken the Fakirpara Mosque.

From mosques of other villages too this rumour was being spread, e.g, Dakshin Berandari, Heliagachhi, Chandipur, Ektara, Hotuganj and Juaru.

From early morning of 14 July, about 3.00 am, huge Muslim crowd gathered in Fakirpara. After morning Namaz, they started rampaging. They started ransacking Hindu shops in Jamberia Golabari, Dharapur and Hotuganj.

They destroyed 2 Hindu temples in Jamberia Golabari and Bagaria.

At 9 am, police arrived at Fakirpara and encircled the mosque.

The Muslim mob then blocked the Hotuganj crossing of the Kakdwip Road at about 10 am.

They forced the Hindu shops to close down. Sufficient quantity of country made bombs and stones were with them.

A large number of Muslim criminals with fire arms were brought in from Lalpur and Magrahat. The notorious criminal Salim led them.

All office goers and students were barred to attend their offices and schools.

More than 50 buses and jeeps have been broken and damaged. Passengers were scared. It was a mayhem.

At 11 am police reached Hotuganj. They tried to remove the obstruction on road. Clashes started with police. The Muslim mob stoned the police heavily. The O.C. of Dimond Harbour P.S. Sanjib Banerjee got seriously injured. Other 8 police persons too have been injured.

One police jeep has been totally torched. One police wireless phone set was snatched away.

Police had to fire in blank for self protection. Police lathicharged and used tear gas.

Then RAF came to the spot. Prohibitory order Section 144 imposed. Somehow situation brought under control.

Police arrested about 20 Muslim miscreants. But all were released after all party meeting at afternoon.

Clashes spread over many villages like Kochuberia, Shyam Bosur Chak and Kulpi.

The whole Diamond Harbour sub division is tense.

The District Magistrate of South 24 Pargana Mr. Khalil Ahmed role was absolutely partisan and communal, whereas the role of the Superintendent of Police of the district Mr. Lakshmi Narayan Meena has been impartial.

SANTIPUR : 3 HINDU GIRLS RAPED AND BRUTALLY TORTURED

Three teen age Hindu Girls have been raped by the Muslim goons on 12th July at Middepara Lichutala under Santipur police station in Nadia district of West Bengal.

The names of the girls are :

(1) Chaitali Ghosh, age 13 yrs, D/O, Keshto Ghosh

(2) Sangita Ghosh, age 13 yrs, D/O, Dilip Ghosh

(3) Susmita Ghosh, age 14 yrs, D/O, Ashok Ghosh.

All these three girls are residents of Baliadanga village of Nadia district and they are students of Haripur High School. On 12 July they were returning from school after appearing in school exam. Some Muslim girls too were with them who were their classmates. The way back goes through a Muslim dominated locality called Middepara, where a Muslim religious fair known as Ghazir Mela was going on. At 11.30 am, when they were passing through Muslim dominated Middepara, about 400 Muslim youths chased and surrounded the hapless Hindu girls. They were in a joyous mood. The Muslim girls fled.

The Muslim boys snatched the scarves (dupatta) of the 3 Hindu girls and poured liquor on their whole body. The girls were absolutely scared and unable to resist.

The girls were molested, raped and brutally tortured in broad daylight. Nobody came in their rescue as the area is Muslim area.

When the girls did not return to home in time, their guardians proceeded towards their school to enquire. On way, they saw with horror that the girls were lying beside the road fully senseless. The guardians were shocked immensely. They immediately took the girls to nearest Santipur government hospital. The girls are still senseless. Totally overwhelmed and traumatized by this bestial abuse they are sometimes regaining their senses intermittently then again sinking back to unconsciousness.

The Hindus of the area could not tolerate this horrible incident. They enquired from the local Muslim girls who are classmates of the victims and witnesses of this gruesome incident. But they refused to tell the names of the Muslim culprits.

Then more than one thousand aggrieved Hindus rushed to the Santipur police station, but the police is reluctant. So, the Hindus first demonstrated in front of police station demanding arrest of the culprits. But seeing lukewarm response of the police, they blocked the National Highway no. 34. Hindu Samhati leaders of the Nadia district are with the aggrieved Hindus and are guiding and leading the agitation.

The administration brought in RAF (rapid Action Force) police to control the situation.

Written complaint has been lodged naming 20 Muslim miscreants. Hindus are determined to punish the culprits.
