Bangladesh Elections - Official Statement by Hindu Samhati

Hindu Samhati's Official Statement on Bangladesh Elections:

We congratulate the people of Bangladesh for the triumph of the progressive and secular forces in the recently concluded election. Media reports state that the minority Hindu community, in spite of serious disturbances, was able to cast votes and without major hindrances as in previous elections, and we commend the election commission for a job well done. We hope that better days will commence in the length and breadth of Bangladesh and it will abide by and uphold the glorious democratic traditions of neighboring India, the largest democracy in the global arena.

However, there are larger expectations from the newly elected government. The dismissal of the despised Vested Property Act (formerly Enemy Property Act, targeting the Hindu population) and the rebuilding of the historic Ramna Kali Temple have been two longstanding demands of the Hindu minority community in that country.

We hope that the new Bangladesh government will concentrate on this aspect and do the needful. These forms of initiatives can only lead the nation to a brighter future and sustain the secular fabric.

We pray to the Almighty Ishwar that prudence should befall in Bangladesh which can save that country from obtaining the tag of “failed state” like Pakistan.

WORKERS’ TRAINING CAMP

WORKERS’ TRAINING CAMP
The previously unfinished Worker’s Training Camp of Hindu Samhati is going to be held from December 31st, 2008 at Gobordanga near Bangaon in North 24 Parganas district. This Camp was planned and started at Gangasagar on 12th June this year. But just after the inaugural session was completed, the Camp was attacked by thousands of local Muslims and Islamic activists. Eighteen of our participants were injured, the Camp building was set on fire. All these were done with the full cooperation of Communist Party India (Marxist) in connivance with the local Police. The Camp had to be abruptly closed as Police arrested 15 campers including Tapan Ghosh, Convener of Hindu Samhati. Now, that camp will be held on 31 December 2008, 1 & 2 January 2009 in a School at Gobordanga, West Bengal.

Hindu Samhati Protests Against Hindu women being Trafficked

In the mixed areas of South 24 parganas district, there is a constant flow of Hindu women being smuggled out by the Muslim human traffickers in the name of getting them jobs and/or getting them married them off. Sometimes, Hindu girls/women are simply kidnapped and sold-off to Muslim gangsters. In one such case, a Hindu girl has been traced to Rampur, UP. Hindu Samhati is to submit a memorandum to the Superintendant of Police, Mr. Ajay Ranade, drawing his attention to at least three specific incidents of this sort.

Hindu samhati is continuing its grass-root level activities by mobilizing people and discussing the issues important to Hindus. In the immediate past, it has conducted a public meeting in Kultali (South 24 Parganas district) which was attended by about 1000 people. A similar meeting was held at Raidighi in the same district.

In Howrah district, a small meeting/discussion was held at Amta which was attended by about 150 people. Another meeting was held at Bagnan in the same district on 23 December. About 200 Hindu youths attended the meeting. It was addressed by Swami Pradiptanandaji Maharaj of Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Tapan Ghosh of Hindu Samhati.

Cow Slaughter Stopped on Eid Day

This year the Islmamic festival, Bakr Eid was on 9th December. Like every year, this year too, Muslims tried to slaughter cows in various new places, even though the Hindus consider the cow to be holy and a sin to kill the animal. Muslims all over the Indian subcontinent often slaughter the cow to spite and pain the Hindu community. But in South 24 Pargana district, Hindus motivated by Hindu Samhati tried to resist it. In several places, memorandums with mass signatures were submitted to local Police Stations and representatives of Hindu Samhati were sent to all party meetings convened by administration. In the following places Hindus were successful to resist Cow slaughter in the follwing places this year.

West Bengal Going the Way of East Bengal(Bangladesh) ???

In West Bengal, rhw Muslim population is increasing rapidly. there are many mini Pakistans sprouting in West Bengal: in Mushidabad, Malda, 24 Parganas, Nadia. Many areas in South and North 24 Parganas are seeing Muslim hooliganism and other related problems. In Basirhat subdivision of North 24 Parganas, there is report of alarming incidents of Muslim atrocities.

In Math Bari village under Sandeshkhali P.S. in Basirhat subdivision, a nominal Hindu youth, named, Sahadev Sadhukhan, an owner of sweet shop, started selling cooked beef on and from World Navi Divas. This area is Hindu Dominated. So when local Hindu people started to protest, he stopped selling. Local Hindu people ordered him to apologize, he had to go to Ras Temple with a bare head and distribute sweets to the devotees at free of cost. But he, backed by local Muslim zealots, did not oblige. As a result, tension created in the area. Local Hindus stopped buying sweets from his shop and also boycotting him socially. In the same area, young girls, belonging to Adivasi community, working in the local brick-field, are being physically and mentally assaulted by local Islamist elements. As they are poor, there is nobody to help them.

In the same subdivision in Malanchabazar area, under Minakha police station., which is a predominantly Hindu area, Rupban Molla, a Muslim and son of Kaosar Molla is selling beef for last ten days under a bridge for the first time. Hindus consider eating beef to be sacreligious. This indicates that now in West Bengal, anybody can sell beef anywhere and with no opposition. In the same area, Joydev Adhikari, a Hindu activist was severely manhandled by local Muslims on the day of last Panchayat election as he was involved in active campaign for a local BJP candidate. He is very influential among local Hindus. But this incident has lowered the morale of the Hindus.

Family members of Akunji, a ferocious Muslim robber, now in jail, have constructed a huge mosque in Sarberia village in Sandeshkhali Police Station. His family members and other Muslims are involved in illegal smuggling. But, unfortunately, the local officer in charge, Mr. Gautam Mitra, considered close to the Akunji family and provides them all round protection instead of arresting them. It is worthy of mentioning that Hindus were attacked by local Muslim activists with arms in the day of Holi, a religious Hindu festival, in 2006 in the same village. Mrs. Kajal Halder and her son, activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, were seriously injured. Police appeared at the site of incident after two hours, though local police office is close by and arrested the suffering Hindus instead of the Muslim fanatics.

Hindus have started migrating to safer places from Minakha, Sandeshkhali, Bhangore, Haroa in North 24 Parganas district and many villages of Diamond harbour, Magrahat in South 24 Parganas district .The local administration is completely silent in this regard. When they are contacted by local Hindu Samhati leaders, they are saying this migration is due to political reasons, not due to communal reason.

ED: This is exactly what was seen in East Bengal from the 1850's onwards.

The Hindu Reaction in Sandeshkhali

Date
Mid Nov 2008
Occasion
During the Jagaddhatri Puja ( A form of Hindu Goddess Durga – Worshipped in parts of Bengal, India)
Venue
In a remote village of Rajbari under the jurisdiction of Sandeshkhali police station in the district of North 24 Parganas.
Description of Incident
Common hindu families like every year were celebrating the festival and performing puja. The local Trinamool Congress leader Ranjit Das who is also the Head of the Block, called local police and forced them to stop the puja in the middle. The motive behind is believed to be making a pro-muslim image among the muslim neighborhood keeping in view the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Reaction
The next day all local hindus felt insulted and shocked at the event. They came out in large numbers which turned into a huge procession. It took the shape of the real festival which people wished to celebrate the previous day. It was a common anger and frustration which was seen in the eyes of the common people. It was a spectacular scene of people from all walks of life joining together to burn the effigy of Ranjit Das. Interesting part of it is that people took the procession through the streets of the hamlet with the effigy garlanded with shoes, which was a great hit. At every crossing more and more people joined in. Afterall that is the most which a common man can do against a powerful man like him. It is learnt that he had accomplices in past, in cases of international drug and ammunition trafficking through the porous Sunderban Deltas.

Pakistani Flag Burnt in Kolkata in Powerful Rally by Hindu Samhati

Kolkata, Dec 3 (PTI)

A Pakistani flag was burnt by hundreds of protesters in this metropolis today to condemn Islamabad's alleged hand in the Mumbai terror attacks.

The protesters, who took out the procession in College Street under the banner of 'Hindu Samhati', spat and kicked the flag before burning it and shouted slogans against the Pakistani government.

They also demanded that the Centre act immediately to "teach Pakistan a lesson once and for all".

The terrorists came not to shatter our economy but to shatter our nation, the protesters said, alleging that the November 26 attack had once again established involvement of Pakistan and jihadis.

The protesters later observed a minute's silence in memory of those killed in the audacious attacks. PTI.

Press Release---HINDU SAMHATI SALUTES MUMBAI MARTYRS

Kolkata, 3rd December 2008 :-

They won't light up the candles for a formality sake, they torched the Pakistani Flag. They condemned the Pakistani Terrorist attack at Mumbai on 26/11, the Paki Plan to destruct the Indian National Integration and the impotence & inaction of the Central & State Government to stop the Islamic Terrorism in India. They paid Homage to the Mumbai Martyrs. The Members of HINDU SAMHATI all united and gathered for this at College Square, Kolkata, the cultural capital of India on 3rd Dec 2008.

Hindu Samhati members shouted the slogans VANDE MATARAM ! Long live Mumbai Martyrs ! Crush the Islamic Jihad! Shame to Indian Politics! Stop the Jehadi activities in India from across the border! And BHARAT MATA KI JAY !! The condolence and the protest meeting was presided over by Sri Barid Baran Guha, a veteran Hindu Leader of Bengal. SRI TAPAN GHOSH, Convenor of Hindu Samhati was the main speaker. Sri Salil Dasgupta, Upananda Brahmachari, Prakash Das, Goutam Pal, Sushen Biswas, Ajit Adhikary were the other speakers in that meeting. Huge police arrangements and interest of the media were marked as a prominent feature in that occasion.

In his speech Sri Tapan Ghosh warned that the West Bengal Situation is worsening gradually due to Islamic Terrorism and Muslim Infiltration from Bangladesh. Though it is a great loss of some ATS & Security Personnel in the Mumbai Terrorist attack and loss of 200 lives along with heavy injuries of people (National & International) , but the ATS & Mumbai Police did a definite blunder by engaging its full contingent wholly for the case of Sadhvi Pragya, Col. Purohit, Swami Dayananda , Samir Kulkarni and others.

By this intrigue, the ISI managed to prepare the Blue Print to destruct Mumbai and the ATS & Mumbai Police failed to resist them in time. Huge explosive, arms and ammunitions reached the heartland of the financial capital of India, MUMBAI from Karachi through a voyage in Arabian Sea, by defeating the vigilance of Indian Cost Guard, Indian Navy, The Maharashtra govt. and the UPA govt. in the Centre. Sri Ghosh also stressed that the situation of West Bengal in a very damaging condition through the pseudo secular approach & Muslim appeasement by Left Front govt here. As a result, Bengal has made a fortified place of the Islamic Jehadis in all respect. This situation can only be changed through a mass HINDU ACTION to destruct the Islamic Terrorism in India. He also mentioned the plight of Kashmiri Hindu People under de-facto Islamic rule imposed there. He also indicated that the Prime Minister, Home Minister, National Security Advisor, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Home Minister there are most inefficient persons and they should be charged for the attack of 26/11 in Mumbai. Only some resignations in the Central and State Ministry can't compensate the loss of the Nation and the bereaved families. Hence, THE HINDU AWAKENING IS A MUST. The Martyrs are murdered not by the Jehadis only, but by the govt. authorities who had diverted the attention of ATS towards an imagined Hindu Terrorism. Therefore, Sonia Gandhi, Monmohan Singh and M.K.Narayanan must be punished for this heinous conspiracy against Nation.

Prominent activist of Hindu Samhati , Upananda Brahmachari told the media persons that the existence of Pakistan is a natural and perpetual threat to India. We should destroy all the Terrorist Training Centers run by ISI & DGFI in Pakistan, POK( Pak occupied Kashmir) and Bangladesh to save the Indian Nation and the Civilization as well. Though Pakistan is denying its involvement in 26/11, but the reality shows the role of Pakistan govt, the ISI in all the terrorist activities in India very clearly. Now, the Govt is contemplating to keep the option open for a direct action against Pakistan. This is a very just demand for any patriotic citizen of India. But the majority Hindus also stand strong to accept the challenge of Islamic Terrorism and fight accordingly. In his speech Brahmachari said that the Kolkata Intellectuals should understand the real situation under the threat of Islamic Fundamentalists in Bengal, when the 'Kolkata Connections' of Jehadi activities are evident through the procurement mobile SIM, explosives, manpower etc. from Bengal and particularly from Kolkata. The Bengal Intellectuals should not issue only the Rizwanur case for highlighting their secular brand, but to protest against the Islamic Jehadi activities also.

Sri P.C. Das reminded the audience the Direct Action against Hindus on 16 August 1946 in Kolkata by the Muslim Supporters for Pakistan. The same mentality is still active in Mumbai and every where in India under Islamic Jehad. In his inaugural speech, Sri Gautam Pal invited Hindu Youths to be united under the banner of Hindu Samhati and combat the Islamic Terrorists in the same language in which they understand appropriately. Sri Salil Dasgupta, a veteran educationist addressed the audience in a very erudite manner saying these Marxist of Bengal supported China in 1962 war and the same people are supporting Muslim Fundamentalists for Vote Bank. This will endanger the situation further. Sri Barid Baran Guha in his presidential speech , stated that the present programme will certainly send a positive message to all concerned over the critical situation created by Islamic Terrorism India and Bengal too. He expressed his aspiration for a TERROR FREE INDIA with the help of Hindu Organisation like HINDU SAMHATI.

Sri Chittaranjan Dey, State Secretary of Hindu Samhati, conducted the whole programme in a very befitting manner.

Mumbai 11/26 --- Statement by Tapan Kumar Ghosh, Convenor : Hindu Samhati

STATEMENT BY TAPAN KUMAR GHOSH, CONVENER, HINDU SAMHATI

The latest Terror Attack in India is now over. 200 dead, 300 plus injured, huge loss of property and total loss of self esteem of the Indian Nation. To the world, the message is clear -- we are defeated by the Islamic jihadis. We have to admit it. Then & then only, the future course of our actions will be in the right direction. Otherwise, we will be simply waiting for the next episode.

They came not to shatter our economy, but to shatter our Nation, to win over a Kaffir nation. And they succeeded. Our leaders are saying -- it is a war. But these same not leaders are not behaving like the American leadership acted after 9/11. They made even George Fernandez, then India's Defence Minister, to undress for security check. But our leaders and officers are still afraid to say the truth that every Muslim, Indian or not, is a potential security threat. They, their Mosques, their Madrasas, and all other Muslim Institutions should be checked thoroughly. Even the Muslim MLAs, MPs and Ministers should not be spared. Everybody in our security agencies know the reality, but cannot do anything for the sake of our HOLY COW named 'THE SECULARISM'. After 11/26, it is now clear that in our country, the security and "secularism" can not go together. We have to make our choice clear -- security or phony secularism. Unfortunately, in this country, "secularism" is more important than patriotism, national Integrity, national honour and security of its citizens.

The 11/26 events have once again established the involvement of Pakistan, money power of the Arabs and full participation of our domestic jihadis. Narration of details is unnecessary. Therefore, it is very clear what to do to save our country and our people.

As long as Pakistan is intact, its jehad factory will not stop. Therefore, dismember Pakistan. We have no other alternative. And in our domestic front SIMI, Indian Mujaheedin, Decan Mujaheedin etc. are the effects, not the cause. So, to stop the production of Jihad and Jihadis in our country we have to stop (1) all madrasas, (2) all Deobands, Aligarhs and Jamias, (3) sermon (khutbah) of Imams in mosque after Namaz, (4) Haj Pilgrimage and Haj subsidies (5) multiple marriages, (6) unlimited birth of children (7) cow slaughtering, (8) tableagues, (9) MuslimPersonal Laws and (10) Urdu language. We have to strictly impose Uniform Civil Code and abolish Art. 370 of our constitution. To stop terror, these are the fundamentals. Indian brand of Secularism will obstruct. We have to overcome it. We have to throw away this secularism lock stock and barrel into the sea. It is the pre-requisite of our security, of our honour.

We, on behalf of HINDU SAMHATI, pay our tribute to Hemant Karkare, ATS Chief and other security personnel who sacrificed their lives in the hands of Islamic Jihadis. This honest and efficient officer, Hemant Karkare was made to be heavily burdened and pre-occupied with the investigation of the Malegaon blast. So, he and his agency became unalert about the conspiracy and extensive preparations of the Jehadis in the preceding weeks. Consequently, we saw the loss of Karkare's life and that of 200 more. Late Karkare was assigned the duty by his superiors to find out some Hindu terrorists to balance the "blame upon Islamic Terrorism".

Results -- Mumbai 11/26. It is the bill, we had to pay for secularism.

Enough is enough. These should not be the words only. This should be translated into deeds. And without wasting any time. We call upon the patriotic citizens of this country to press hard our policy makers to fall in line or quit. Country can not afford more. This should be the lesson of Mumbai.

Hindu Morale Broken in Bhagalpur

NDA/JDU/BJP arrests Hindu leaders in Bihar to Appeal to the Muslim Vote-Bank

A city named Bhagalpur in Bihar suddenly appeared on news headlines in 1989. The reason: the infamous Bhagalpur riots. In the following article, we look back at that incident and evaluate how the implications are still affecting the Hindu population of that state.

In 1989, following the Ram Shila installation events in neighboring state of U.P, a large group of Muslim activists attacked and ransacked Parbati, an area inhabited by Hindu students and youths, killing over 100 Hindu boys and injuring hudreds more.

Thousands of Hindus had to leave Parbati at that time, due to the extreme conditions created by the well-planned Islamist nexus operating for the last 30 years in Bihar.

The police appeared virtually ineffective to counter the carnage, and in an effort to contain the situation and also in panic, a local group of Hindus under the leadership of one Kameshwar Yadav, built up a resistance force to stop the one-way pogrom. This vigilante group attacked one of Eastern India's Islamist hubs, named Tatarpur, known as an area of Muslim extremism. The one-way pogrom in Parbati was followed by a riot resulting in the deaths of several Islamic strong-men and many innocent lives, both Muslim and Hindu.

The RJD government which ruled Bihar for over 15 years, realizing the sensitivity and delicateness of the Bhagalpur situation had tried to keep the situation in balance by not pressing charges against members of either religious community. At the same time, the RJD leadership was accused of being involved in the multi-million dollar animal fodder scam and fell out of favor of the Bihari populace. In 2005 Nitish Kumar's coalition of JDU and BJP swept the elections on the campaign promise of arresting those involved in the fodder scam.

CM Kumar has not been able to fulfill his promise at all, and his ministry have shown no indication of ever doing so in the last 3 years. Instead, his JDU/BJP government has arrested Kameshwar Yadav and his associates for inciting the riots after facing severe pressure from Islamic fundamentalist elements. On the other side, no action has been taken against the Muslim activists who initiated the riots with their vitriolic one-way pogrom.

The BJP, once known as a pro-Hindu party is steadily losing support locally among the frustrated Hindu population, who feel betrayed and cheated by the party and constitute well over 70% of the voter base.

Editor's Comment:
The actions of the NDA-JDU/BJP government has empowered and energized the fundamentalist forces in the Muslim community to further radicalize the Muslim youth in Bhagalpur and Bihar. As the residents here have stated, the Islamic extremists have succeeded in coaxing the Muslims in Champanagar area of Bhagalpur to build a taller mosque than the highest Hindu Manasa temple in that locality just to spite the local Hindu population. The JDU/BJP government has not been able to fulfill its main campaign promise of persecuting the fodder scam victims, but has only satisfied the whims of the Muslim fanatic groups to curry favor with them for the next elections.

Muslim mob prevents Hindus from building a Kali Temple in their own land

Saturday, Sept 16, 2008, Beldanga, Murshidabad, W Bengal, India

Hindu families in Beldanga, West Bengal failed to get law enforcement support to build a Kali Temple in their own land.

Nearly two thousand Muslims threatened to riot and destroy property, unless Hindus withdrew their plans to build a Kali temple on property donated by the local Hindu families. Reports suggest that even though the temple would have been more than half a mile away from the nearest Islamic building or neighborhood, Muslim community members could not be convinced to agree to the temple. The local Hindu community leaders have decided to take the matter to higher authorities.

Uluberia - Muslim mob obstructs Jagaddhatri Puja procession, police beat up Hindus.

Uluberia, Howrah District, West Bengal
A most alarming and depressing followup on our report on Uluberia. As our readers would remember there was an obstruction and scuffle with local Muslims regarding the passage of the Kali Puja immersion procession in Uluberia town, Howrah district. Then the local Muslims had threatened that they would not allow the coming Jagaddhatri Puja procession to pass before their mosque. 30 local clubs had convened a meeting to discuss this threat and decided that Hindus would not bow down to threats and the immersion procession of Jagaddhatri Puja immersion would follow the same route it takes every year. As the matter came to pass - Muslims have succeeded, of course with the generous help of the most obliging West Bengal Police.

The problem began with the Dakbangla Sarbajanin Jagaddhatri Puja (Old) of Ward no.4 of Uluberia town. The members of the Puja Committee belong to either the CPM or the Forward Block. Every year the immersion procession goes through the main street of the town but this year there was some problems with the local Muslims during Kali Puja. The Muslims threatened that they won’t allow the procession to pass before their mosque at Bhaktar More (crossing). 30 local clubs united to declare that they shall take the procession through the same route they follow every year.

On 4th November, 2008, the local MLA and Left Front minister Robin Ghosh of the Forward Block convened a meeting in the area and promised that the procession would be allowed to go through the regular route. But on November 8 morning, the day of immersion, the Sub Divisional Officer and Santu Ghosh, the Vice Chairman (Forward Block) of the Uluberia Municipality threatened the Dakbangla Puja Committee that no procession must cross the Goruhata More (a Muslim locality comes before Bhaktar More – where the masjid is located).

On that day, 8 November, the members of the 30 clubs and a few thousand local Hindus gathered for the Immersion Procession. But the Puja Committee – getting cold feet – declined to take out any procession. Fighting broke out immediately between the Puja committee and the locals, who insisted that the procession must be taken out. A huge police force appeared immediately (the Committee members must have prearranged this with the police and the Municipal authorities, as the police in West Bengal take their own sweet time even for murders and arson) and without any warning lathi charged the Hindus and dispersed them. Many of the gathered were seriously injured. The Puja Committee silently and stealthily immersed the Image in the Ganga – without a procession.

At the same time thousands of Muslims had blocked the road near Bhaktar More, in front of the Masjid, to obstruct the coming Jagaddhatri procession. But the police force present there, simply looked on and did nothing.

At Bazarpara, there was a new and small Jagaddhatri Puja of Rupantar Club. The police, led by the Inspector-in-Charge of the Uluberia PS - Rezzak Mollah, threatened and misbehaved with the Puja committee, without any provocation, and forced them to immerse the Image of the Mata in the nearby canal rather than the Ganga.

End result – no procession. Even a Left Front minister could not keep his promise. Maybe it’s the Lok Sabha Elections in 2009. Or maybe it’s a foretaste of the days to come in West Bengal, redolent of the days of the League Ministry in ’46. And the innocents and babes-in-the-woods of the media wonder why the Hindus, all over India, are taking to the warpath!

The full text of threatening letter of HUJI & SIMI

The full text of the letter of HUJI( Harkat ul Jehadi Islam) & SIMI( Students Islamic Movement of India) threatening Swami Pradiptanandaji(Kartik Maharaj), In-Charge, Bharat Sevashram Sangha,Beldanga Branch,Murshidabad Dist.,West Bengal, India.

" On behalf of HUJI & SIMI, Beldanga thana committee we are to convey that we have received your printed leaflet addressed to the Hindu people. In this connection just telling you that you are doing your job at your own choice being a head of Hindus here. Don't you know that we the Muslims of Beldanga are 80% of the total population here,so we give you the warning that there will be no DURGA PUJA in this area henceforth anyway. Because we face a severe problem for performing our religious Namaz for 7 or 8 days due to the sound of loud speaker and tremendous noise of public gathering. We can not manage to submit our Namaz to our Allaha Tallah. For this reason our body and mind get impurities and subsequently we are turned questionable to Allah and His Servants at the time of Qyamat for hearing the sound of Drums and Trumpets. So, you must convey this Order of Stopping Durga Puja to all Puja Committees of Beldanga area within this month of Rooja (fasting). Otherwise you should be prepared for getting highest punishment at the time of next Puja for flouting this Order !! Then there will be only bloodshed and numbers of dead body of yours in every Puja Pandals. Get ready for tremendous torture... We will show our actual strength everywhere in Beldanga. Nobody can stop us even with the help of Police and Administration. Then we shall see you the eventualities. You can not save the situation of Murshidabad with the help of some beggars residing at your Ashram. WE.. WILL.. CONVERT YOUR.. ASHRAM.. AS.. A.. MADRASHA.. IN.. ONE.. DAY. Inshallah.

Kali Puja Procession attacked in Uluberia, Howrah

On 31st October, evening, an immersion procession of Kalipuja, organized by several local clubs of Uluberia, subdivisional town of Howrah district, was proceeding with drums and music. At Bhakta crossing near Uluberia railway station local Muslims objected to the procession saying they will not allow it to pass by their mosque. As Hindus in the procession protested and resisted, there was scuffle. The Muslim goons demolished the Hindu shops on the station road. 4 Hindus were severely injured and admitted to Uluberia General Hospital. One of them, Sri Debashish Das, is fighting for his life. When the agitated Hindus started a peaceful demonstration the police came and arrested 3 Hindus and 2 Muslims. A case was registered against 61 Hindus. All of them will have to surrender before the district Court and take bail. The very next day on 1st November morning, Muslims gathered in a large number and blocked the road for 4 hours. The police, RAF, the Inspector in charge of Uluberia police station, the SDO, all stood helplessly and took no action to lift the roadblock. The Muslims threatened that next time they will not allow any immersion procession with Hindu idols to pass by their masjid. Duly alarmed, the Hindus attempted to submit a memorandum to the SDO and IC but they sternly refused to accept. Being turned away by the forces of Law, 22 local Hindu clubs held a joint meeting and discussed for their next course of action. Today again members of 30 Hindu clubs gathered and resolved that they will take the immersion procession of Jagaddhatri Puja through the same route on 8th November. The situation is very tense. The administration is trying to suppress the Hindu outrage simply because they are absolutely unable to contain Muslim reaction. Maybe it’s the Lok Sabha Elections in the first half of 2009 that is the cause for this administrative paralysis. Now as the Parliamentary elections are near the Muslims can clearly bargain their votes against mayhem and disorder.

It must be mentioned here that this is the place/town where local left front MLA, now a minister, Robin Ghosh, a few years back led thousands of local armed Muslims and snatched 100 Bangladeshi infiltrators from Mumbai Howrah train who were being escorted by the Maharashtra Police to be handed over to the BSF for pushing back into Bangladesh. The infiltrators were then allowed to melt into the local Muslim population. The Left Front made him a minister.

On 19th October, 2008, in this very Uluberia town, Puja ghosh (16) was molested by the Muslim goons led by one antisocial Ala Sheikh, when she was going home after attending a VHP camp at nearby Sarada Shishu Mandir. In fact the whole of Howrah district is now a disturbed zone for the Hindus. Countless incidents are taking place every day in both rural and urban areas of this district.

Why no outrage over persecuted Hindus?

By Richard L. Benkin

Chicago, IL, United States, — There have been several attempts at genocide since the middle of the last century. European Nazis murdered 6 million Jews in the 1940s. In the1960s Fulani-led Nigerians slaughtered around 1 million ethnic Ibos who formed the Republic of Biafra. Three decades later, majority Hutus murdered almost 1 million Tutsis in Rwanda, and Serbs did the same to about 10,000 ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. Ethnic Arabs are still killing non-Arab Sudanese; so far over half a million.
These crimes grabbed the world's attention – albeit too late and only after the bodies were piled too high to ignore. The United Nations issued proclamations and sent aid through its human rights and refugee organizations. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and others loudly condemned the perpetrators, documenting the atrocities and raising money for their aid programs. Several international celebrities took on highly visible roles and massive protests worldwide gave vent to peoples' outrage.
Yet there is another case of ethnic cleansing in numbers that dwarf these crimes, a-genocide-in-the-making, that has been proceeding for decades with little more than the occasional whimper. When Bangladesh won its independence from Pakistan in 1971, Hindus made up almost one in five of its citizens. Today, they are less than one in ten. Demographers and others estimate that approximately 20 million Bangladeshi Hindus have disappeared.

Twenty million people are missing, and many more are at risk – but no George Clooney or Angelina Jolie has stood up; no declaration has come from the United Nations, despite its mandate to stop such atrocities. Even the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees has done nothing to help the victims, though several organizations have documented their suffering.
The international human rights industry, too, has been silent. Amnesty International has devoted pages upon Web pages to the United States and Guantanamo and spends a high percentage of its resources criticizing Israeli democracy. Its current cover story is about Shia Muslims being "treated like second class citizens." But to date it has shown no stomach to oppose what could be the worst case of ethnic cleansing in our time. The last time AI or Human Rights Watch gave the Bangladeshi Hindus even passing mention was in 2006.
This is not the first time the world has ignored mass murder in South Asia. Toward the end of the Bangladeshi war of independence, Pakistani troops and their Islamist allies slaughtered between 2 and 3 million mostly Hindu Bangladeshis – noncombatants, women, children and the elderly. All manner of brutality from mutilation to ritualized gang rape accompanied the carnage, but the world still remains silent even when the victims' descendants cry out for justice.
NATO sent troops into Kosovo when thousands were at risk but did nothing to save millions in East Bengal. Hindu refugees flood West Bengal, India, and live in semi-legal squalor, but the UNHCR refuses to recognize them as refugees. Earlier this year I visited almost two dozen extra-legal camps in West Bengal and saw these people's need for help.

Several refugees and others attribute this disparity to religious bias. Fear of terrorist reprisals, the lure of petrodollars, and a rigid political correctness prevent many from taking a stand against Islamists, according to one Indian activist. But he and others blame "our own nature" that mitigates against activism and tolerates corruption.
As I told Indian journalists, "Everyone in India seems to know about the Bangladeshi Hindus, but no one is doing anything about it." The actions of Bangladeshi Islamists, while atrocious, are not unexpected. However, their treatment by Indian Hindus is surprising.
Imagine refugees barely escaping with their lives, leaving murdered loved ones behind. They described crossing into the largest Hindu nation in the world, but found no welcome in the arms of their co-religionists. Instead, they were "treated like trespassers," and given no aid or shelter. They reported being forced into camps, where their captors took advantage of then no less than did their Islamist tormentors.
In West Bengal, refugees testified that locals let them squat on the land, but in exchange they were forced to attend communist rallies. They received voter's cards only to be told that officials of the Communist Party of India/Marxist would fill them in for them. But if anyone else desired the land, the refugees would be ejected; something I observed firsthand.
Today an economic and military powerhouse, India has yet to advocate for the thousands of victims streaming across its borders. It has never pressed the case of the Bangladeshi Hindus before any international body. If it has protested the ethnic cleansing to Bangladesh, it has done so meekly.

Moreover, this great nation seems content to cede the integrity of its borders. Several refugees testified that even now Islamists from surrounding villages and from Bangladesh attack them with the knowledge of West Bengal officials.
Once the CPIM got wind of my visits to the camps, we would alter our itinerary to arrive before the local commissar intimidated refugees into silence about anything that might embarrass the communist government. In one camp their tactic appeared to work. We were about to leave when one elderly woman stood up, with a commissar looking on, and said, "I'm not afraid of anybody," and began to talk about the ongoing attacks.
Is the Indian government's silence little more than a ploy to keep votes, a reflection of its pseudo-secularist policy? If it is, that does not explain the silence of those parties that have no chance of gaining significant numbers of Muslim or communist votes, such as the Bharatiya Janata Party and other rightwing parties. Why are they not championing the Bangladeshi Hindus, and using this as a rallying point for all Indians who recognize the immorality of remaining silent while others are oppressed?
In my travels in West Bengal, when I offered to act with others to protest what is happening there, the response was almost always, "People are afraid." That made sense when we were speaking with refugees who have known nothing in the way of protection or the law. But this was the answer of Indian citizens, often people whose organizations claim to be working for the refugees.
In my advocacy for the refugees in the West, I encounter skepticism from those who question India's silence if things are so dire; who question why there are few public protests; who ask, after hearing about attacks inside India, why none of the 800 million Indian Hindus have traveled to these camps to defend the victims against Islamist aggression.

WHY HINDUS ARE ANGRY IN KARNATAKA ?

What made Hindus angry in Karnataka
http://www.ultracurrents.co.cc/
Francois Gautier [expressbuzz]
I was born in a Catholic family. My uncle was a priest, a wonderful man of warmth and compassion and I spent most my early years in Catholic boarding schools. When I was young I wanted to become a missionary and to ‘convert’ pagans in Asia.

What I was taught by priests was that Hindus worship false gods and they needed to be brought back to the True Word by Jesus Christ.

Then of course, I came to India and discovered that actually Hindus, far from being the heathens, as had been portrayed in Europe, not only believed God’s diversity, the wonderful concept of avatar, but had given refuge to all persecuted minorities of the world, whether the Syrian Christians, the Parsis, the Jews (India is the only country in the world where Jews were not persecuted), the Armenians, or today the Tibetans.

I am also aghast at the one-sided coverage by the Indian media of the Christian- Hindu problem: blasts after blasts have killed hundreds of innocent Hindus in Varanasi, Delhi, Mumbai train blasts, Jaipur, etc. Yet, neither Manmohan Singh nor Sonia Gandhi have pronounced once the word ‘Islamic terrorism.’

But when furious Hindus, tired of being made fun of, of witnessing their brothers and sisters converted by financials traps, of seeing a 84-year-old swami and his Mataji brutally murdered, of reading blasphemy about their Gods, vent their anger against churches, many of them makeshifts, the Indian government goes after the soft target which the Hindus are.

The same thing applies to the United States: they never warned Muslim organisations in India about the killing of Hindus, but when dollars are used to buy new converts and it angers the majority community of India,Washington has the arrogance to issue a warning, and Manmohan Singh does not have the pride to tell the US to mind its own business.

Neither the Indian press nor the western correspondents bothered to write about what made Hindus angry in Karnataka: Newlife, one important westernfunded missionary centre ( http://www.newlifev oice.org) , began making conversions in and around Mangalore by accosting poor people in market areas, or in bus stands, befriending them and then taking them to churches to introduce them to the father.

Upon introduction they were paid Rs 2,500 per person and then taken to the Velankanni shrine, in Tamil Nadu, where they would get another Rs. 3,000.

When they finally converted to Christianity by changing the name, they got an incentive of Rs 10,000 onwards.

Newlife would then give them instructions to abandon wearing tilak on forehead, not to visit and offer prayers at the Hindu temples, replacing the photos and idols of Hindu gods and goddesses with a Cross, etc.

But what really angered local Hindus was when Newlife went one step further and published a book in Kannada — Satya Darshini — which was widely distributed by its missionaries.

Here below is the translation of some of the most abusive passages:

“Urvashi — the daughter of Lord Vishnu — is a prostitute.
Vashistha is the son of this prostitute.
He in turn married his own Mother. Such a degraded person is the Guru of the Hindu God Rama. (page 48).

When Krishna himself is wallowing in darkness of hell, how can he enlighten others? Since Krishna himself is a shady character, there is a need for us to liberate his misled followers (page 50).

It was Brahma himself who kidnapped Sita.“Since Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva were themselves victims of lust, it is a sin to consider them as Gods. (page 39).

When the Trinity of Hinduism (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) are consumed by lust and anger, how can they liberate others? The projection of them as Gods is nothing but a joke. (page 39).

God, please liberate the sinful people of India who are worshipping False Gods. (Page 39).”

When blasphemy and much worse is brought against the most sacred Hindu Gods, Hindus are supposed to take it meekly as sheep and let themselves be converted to a foreign religion!

There are more than 4,000 foreign Christian missionaries involved in conversion activities across different states.

In Tripura, there were no Christians at the time of independence. There are 1,20,000 today, a 90 per cent increase since 1991.

The figures are even more striking in Arunachal Pradesh, where there were only 1,710 Christians in 1961, but 1.2 million today, as well as 780 churches!

In Andhra Pradesh, churches are coming up every day in far-flung villages and there was even an attempt to set up one near Tirupati.

Christians throughout the ages have strived on the concept of persecution and as a brought up Catholic, I remember feeling bad about all those martyred saints of Christianity.

Christians in India like to say that they are only two per cent and can do no harm. But it is a sham: in the Tamil Nadu coastal belt from Chennai to Kanyakumari, there must be now 10 per cent Christians posttsunami and the same may be true in other parts of south India.

My heart goes out to Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa who took a courageous stand against unethical Christian conversions, but is now under pressure from the Centre.

The BJP, having learnt from bitter experience that the Congress has no qualm in invoking President’s rule under fallacious pretexts in states which are ruled by non-Congress governments is in a quandary: it must show some action against militant Hindu groups while remaining true to itself.

This is why Yeddyurappa took some action against Hindu groups while saying that his government will not tolerate forcible conversions and will take stringent action against missionaries involved in conversions.

And ultimately, the blame must fall on Hindus: they are 800 million in India, the overwhelming majority; they have the brains, they have the money and they have the power. But either their intellectual and political class sides with the minorities, out of fear, inferiority complex imbedded by the British or just sheer crass political opportunism, or the bigger mass is indifferent inert, selfish, un-civic conscious.

Every Hindu is the inheritor of the only surviving spiritual knowledge which at the moment is under a concerted attack by Christian missionaries, Americanisation, Marxism and Islamic fundamentalism. http://in.mc89.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=fgautier@rediffmail.com

HUJI & SIMI'S THREATENING LETTER TO SWAMI PRADIPTANANDA

The leading Hindu monk of Murshidabad district Swami Pradiptanandaji Maharaj has received a threatening letter from the Murshidabad unit of HUJI and SIMI. With filthy language they have threatened Swamiji to stop his activity. Otherwise he will be killed. They also ordered in this letter, to all Durgapuja committees of Beldanga town, where Swamiji's Ashram is situated, to stop Durgapuja next year as the sound of these Pujas vitiate their body and soul and disturb their Namaz. If they don't obey the order then all the pandals will see bloodbath. District administration took the letter seriously and increased security arrangements in the Ashram. But at the same time it has restricted Swamiji's movement.
Swamiji, popularly known as Kartick Maharaj, is a monk of Bharat Sevashram Sangha and he is the President of Beldanga Ashram. He runs 'seva projects' in Murshidabad district. In one of his centers at Chanak near Baharampur in Murshidabad district, 400 tribal girls get education with fooding and lodging facilities.
He is prominent member of Advisory Council of Hindu Samhati. He was main speaker in the inaugeral function of Hindu Samhati on 14 February this year at Kolkata.
Murshidabad district is Muslim majority district. According to 2001 Census Report, out of total 26 development blocks of the district, 25 blocks are Muslim majority. The only block with Hindu majority, namely Barwan block has a Muslim population of 40 percent. One can imagine the plight of the Hindus in this district.

Hindu Samhati's Silent March Against Terror - Success in the Red Bastion

As we had intimated before, Hindu Samhati under the leadership of Sri Tapan Kumar Ghosh organised a Silent March along the streets of Kolkata. It might be said with all humility the that the massive response it generated from the Hindu masses of Bengal and the spontaneity of the response has left us surprised. The March commenced from the gates of the famous Calcutta University and ended at Esplanade - the centre of the City. In its course the March traversed through nearly two thirds of down town Kolkata and everywhere people lined up along the footpath, in a silent expression of their solidarity with the marchers.
In a meeting before the Hindu Samhati team had already decided that the March against terror blasts throughout India would be a silent one. Silent because there is nothing more to say. If the random deaths from Jihadi terrorism of more than 30,000 of innocent Indian citizens, soldiers and other security personnel throughout the last decade could not spur the government of India into action; it may be safely assumed that the honourable government of India has ceased to respond to anything resembling a call of duty. Maybe (and we are hoping against hope here) an expression of silent scorn and contempt by a massed citizenry could shame it into action. And the common people of Bengal and Kolkata affirmed their solidarity. Kolkata - the Red Bastion of the East, the capital of flamboyant secularism, the safe secular heaven and the covert jump-off base of the Jihadis from Bangladesh and Pakistan, Indian Jihad's unguarded backdoor to the world. And this time Kolkata witnessed a strong and silent gathering of Hindus which may be said to be the largest since the days of the Ramjanmabhoomi Movement. Maybe the sleepy and forgetful Hindu of Bengal has had enough.

At Espalnade the marchers and the public was addressed by Sri Tapan Kumar Ghosh and other leaders of Hindu Samhati. After that an eight member team of Hindu Samhati went to the Raj Bhavan (Governor's House) to submit a memorandum against the horrible spectre of Jihadi terrorism that is trying to rip our motherland apart.

The full text of the Memorandum is given below, after the pictures of the Silent March.

The Memorandam presented by Hindu Samhati to the Honourable Governor of West Bengal Sri Gopal Krishna Gandhi:
Date: 01/08/2008

MEMORANDUM

Sub: Serial blasts throughout India, the continuing spectre of terrorism and Hindu Samhati’s Silent March.

To
Shri Gopal Krishna Gandhi
The Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal
Raj Bhavan
Kolkata

Respected Sir,

After the serial blasts of Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, this spectre of terror which has run unabated for the past 20 years and still continues to run, has exposed us to some very uncomfortable questions. That is how long should we continue this sham exercise called a ‘Peace Process’, even though it is becoming painfully apparent that the nameless, formless adversary of terrorism and their very well known handlers and financiers across our eastern and western borders, cannot be propitiated. However much we try.

How much more blood should flow and how many more lives should be lost before the Government of India realizes the utter futility of its position? Even as Pakistan continues to mastermind and train the terrorist operations in this country we go on negotiating with this ruthless entity. We confer the ‘most favoured nation’ status on Pakistan - in matters of trade, while they continue to blow up our citizens. We are providing an unending supply of food, medicines and other necessities of life to Bangladesh while Bangladesh continues to flood across our borders with millions of infiltrators and terrorists. While we provide them with food, they, nourished by the same food, train Jihadis to blow up their unsuspecting benefactors. For how long must the citizens of India endure this unfunny farce of a ‘Peace Process’ while their near and dear ones continue to die on the streets?

On the 11th of September, 2001, nearly 3500 US citizens died in the WTC bombings. After that not a single blast has taken place in the USA. The US government did what was necessary to safeguard the lives and liberty of its citizens. From 1994 onwards nearly 21000 ordinary citizens and nearly 8000 security personnel have lost their lives in terror related violence in India. Thousands and thousands more have been seriously injured. All the Govt. of India has done in redress is to issue meaningless words and empty gestures. The Government of India has failed miserably in the most fundamental duty of governance - the protection of life, liberty and property of its citizens.
In protest of this emasculated security policy of the government Hindu Samhati has led a huge Silent Protest March through the city of Kolkata today. The demands of this march are as follows:

1. Hang Afzal Guru, the terrorist accused for the parliament attack, immediately.
2. Deal wih Pakistan and Bangladesh in the strictest manner possible and, if necessary, sever all diplomatic and economic ties.
3. All trains and busses to and fro from Pakistan and Bangladesh must be stopped forthwith.
4. All terrorist training camps in Pakistan and Bangladesh should be destroyed by military force.
5. Introduce a much stricter security act than POTA.
6. Shut down all the Madrassas that teach Jihad.
7. Scrap the outrageous report of the Sachar Committee and stop the appeasement of minorities immediately.
8. Stop infiltration from Bangladesh. If necessary, shoot the Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators at the border.

Thanking you.
Yours truly,

(TAPAN KUMAR GHOSH)
NATIONAL CONVENOR
HINDU SAMHATI
HINDU SAMHATI OFFERS ITS DEEPEST CONDOLENCE AND SOLIDERITY WITH THE FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF THE VICTIMS OF THE TERROR BLASTS OF JAIPUR, BENGALURU AND AHMEDABAD. MAY GOD PROVIDE THE DEPARTED WITH THE PEACE THAT THEIR GOVERNMENT COULD NOT.
