How the district of Howrah in the Indian state of Bengalis turning into a stronghold of Islamic fundamentalism can be ascertained from the torturous experiences of Sushmita Das, Hindu housewife of age 18, wife of Kunal Das and living in village: Nimtala Barwaritala, Nazirgunj I/C, P.S. Sankrail. She was both molested and injured violently on April 9, 2013 at 11 pm by three Muslim radicals, Zafar (age 22) and Jehangir (age 26), joined by another one later.  They entered the Hindu household as hucksters or hawkers.

Was there any enmity between Sushmita, her husband and these Islamists?  To know this we would have to focus on another event taking place 6 months ago. At that time, Bosebabu, a Hindu individual dwelling in the same village, constructed a road for Hindus, especially to make their communication easier. The entire project, including its expenses, was managed by him single-handedly. However, from its inception, the road was being used by Muslims too and more for transporting beef. The vicious strategy was to affront Hindus and their religious beliefs; this led to resentment among Hindus, naturally.

On last Bhaiphonta (Bengali Hindu festival), a severe Hindu-Muslim tension erupted when Hindus protested against Muslim ruffians transporting beef. The tension led to a scuffle and two Muslim youths were beaten but released later. It has been learnt, Kunal Das, husband of wounded Sushmita, played a key role in the struggle. Hence, the attack on April 9, 2013 was nothing save an Islamic effort to teach Kunal a lesson.

On the very day, April 9, 2013, Zafar and Jehangir, entered Kunal’s residence as hawkers and asked Sushmita to purchase garments from them. But Sushmita, due to high prices of garments, rejected the offer outright. Sushmita’s mother-in-law was present there initially but went to her neighbor’s house for a personal job, later on. Once she left the third Islamist entered Kunal’s residence, joined Zafar and Jehangir and the three Muslim radicals attacked Sushmita all of a sudden. They injured her violently; attempts to rape her were also made.

Sushmita shouted and hearing her voice, local Hindu youths, Pulak Koley and Manas Patra rushed to Kunal’s house. They found wounded (extremely owing to use of blades) Sushmita, learnt from her the reality and took her to the doctor’s clinic close at hand. Zafar and Jehangir were later picked up by Hindu youths and beaten.

Police arrived there soon and took Zafar and Jehangir into custody. However, the third Muslim radical went missing.

To release Islamists and also to teach the administration a lesson, instructions were given through microphones in mosques to Islamists to protest. And within the next 30 minutes, almost 5, 000 Muslim youths, heavily armed, reached the spot. While some of them were from Agore, Sankrail, Chanpatala, Nazirgunj, Bakultala, others were from Lichubagan and Metiaburuz in Kolkata. Muslims also attacked Hindu-dominated Barwaritala. No less than 1, 000 of them went to Nazirgunj I/C and released Zafar and Jehangir from there forcefully.  

Sushmita Das went to file an official FIR to Nazirgunj I/C but In-Charge there, Suman Das, left no stone unturned to foil her attempt and ultimately, forced her to write a wrong FIR. Strikingly, Pulak Koley and Manas Patra were arrested by the police for disturbing communal harmony.

To save themselves, Hindus in Barwaritala visited Subrata Kanrar, leader of Trinamool Congress and also sub-head of Nimtala Panchpara Panchayat. Subrata refused to listen to Hindus and instead, advised them to open the road built up by Bosebabu for Muslims too. Hindus, to protest against all these, blocked the Howrah - Alampur Road from 5 pm – 1 am on April 9, 2013.

Local activists of Hindu Samhati geared up and owing to their insistence, Pulak Koley and Manas Patra were released on April 10, 2013, next day. When Hindu Samhati activists were in a meeting, Subrata Kanrar arrived there and asked Hindus to open up the road for Muslims once more.

On April 11, 2013, Thursday, Officer-in-Charge, P.S. Sankrail, sent a letter to Hindu Samhati activists inviting them to attend a meeting to form a peace committee comprising 10 members, 5 from Hindus and 5 from Muslims, to stop any communal disturbance in the locality. The meeting started at 7 pm on the same day and 4 Hindu activists went there to participate.

What made the meeting especial was that representatives of all organizations and political parties, except for Hindu Samhati, were representing Muslims virtually.  Subrata Kanrar of Trinamool Congress threatened Hindu Samhati members before police officials there and stated that he would open the aforementioned road for Muslims single-handedly and by force.   

Hindus, in spite of all these, remained defiant.

As part of the latest development, Muslims are evading the road made by Bosebabu for Hindus in particular.

Islamists rejoice at Boston Marathon Terror Attack

When a person gloats at the destruction of others, he is called inhuman or an individual devoid of feeling and consciousness and animation. Any such person is censured severely and is deemed as completely unfit to live in any human society.  

If you believe so, it’s the time for you to castigate supporters of Akbaruddin Owaisi, rabid Muslim leader, known for disparaging Hindus, their religious beliefs at times and arrested on 8 January 2013 for hate speeches against Hindus.

His supporters, at the moment, are busy in rejoicing the terror attack at Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013, Monday in the United States.

It is hard to believe that any human being can stoop to such an extent but this is a reality.

The Urdu comments (written in the Latin script), if read carefully, will bring forth the atrocious reality – how Islamists rejoice at the destruction of people belonging to other religions.

Islamic attempts to rob ancient Shyamchand Temple, Shantipur on the rise

What is the best way to ruin the confidence of any person or community? It is to inflict violent attacks on the most cherished objects of the very individual or community and to break the morale of Hindus, the best way is to assail their venerated temples – a stratagem too well-known to Muslim radicals down the centuries.

Shyamchand Temple in Shantipur, District: Nadia, of 700 years old, known for its architecture and also for playing a pivotal role in guiding Hindus in the vicinity, to strengthen the intra-community bond has become the latest victim to Muslim radicals and their devilish designs to erase Hindus from the area.

On April 5, 2013, the age-old temple became victim to Islamists. It has been learnt, Muslim radicals broke locks and made several attempts to get into the revered temple. However, the presence of interlocking system thwarted their effort and they had to leave (for this time) unsuccessfully. This was the fourth attempt of burglary into Shyamchand Temple (in a row).  Is there any reason to incriminate Muslim radicals in this regard?   

There is, indeed as lots of other temples have been robbed by Islamists and the inactivity of administration is beefing up their confidence only.

On April 6, 2013, a large number of Hindus went to P.S. Shantipur to lodge an official complaint but they just snubbed. Not the police did not file the case but expressed its helplessness also to subdue Islamists.

Will Shyamchand Temple in Shantipur be robbed one and fall down ultimately? Hindus must find out the answer – effeteness is necessary to preserve religious stronghold and also posterity.

Be another Benode Behari Chowdhury

Summary:

With the death of Benode Behari Chowdhury, a valiant member of Chittagong uprising between 1930-34 and a disciple of Masterda Surya Sen, the connection between Bengali Hindu youths (these days) to their heroic and amazing past has come to an end.

Benode Behari Chowdhury was not a mere member of the revolutionary group operating in Chittagong area of then undivided Bengal only but denoted a period when Bengali Hindu youths, influenced by the fiery ideals of Swami Vivekananda to sacrifice themselves at the altar of motherland, did raise a storm  to free Bharat Mata from the shackles of British Imperialism also. There were tens of thousands of Bengali Hindu youths like him and each and every daring activity of them indeed limited the existence of Union Jack in India.

They did everything through privation and sacrifice to wrest freedom from colonial masters but Binod Babu, owing to this vast life, also remained witness to the murkiest development in recorded history, partition of Undivided India into India and Pakistan on a religious basis. A large section of land was ceded to a community whose participation and spontaneity in anti-British struggle remains doubtful.

The partition followed with the complete disaster of Hindus and Sikhs – Bengal and Punjab got ruined completely – these two provinces surpassed others in following revolutionary ideals. Genocides of Hindus and Sikhs took place in both West and East Pakistan. While this saga got complete by 1947 in West Pakistan, Hindu persecution is going on in Bangladesh (erstwhile East Pakistan) still.

Binod Babu, later on, devoted himself to save Hindus from Islamists and the same struggle has got to be carried out by others.

If Bengali Hindu youths follow him such, it will be the best respect to him.

Bengali Hindus need those warriors whose inhuman struggle will make others like poet Sukanta Bhattacharya write “Ora Bir Ora Akashe Jagato Jhor...Oder Kahini Bideshir Khune......Guli Banduk Bomar Aagune Aajo Romanchakar.”

UPDATE OF KETUGRAM INCIDENT, BARDHAMAN

In the Ketugram Hindu persecution incident of Bardhaman district on 12 April, the Shiv Puja (Gajan) procession of the Hindus were attacked by the Muslims and later forcibly stopped by the police and the puja ritual was left incomplete. Furthermore police barricaded the entire village and disallowed any ingress or egress. It is reported that the whole incident took place at the instigation of Abdul Gaffar, the I.C. of the Ketugram PS, who played a very mischievous and nakedly partisan role. He arrested 4 Hindus : Tapan Sengupta, Mithu Dasgupta, Nadu Hajra, Mithun Dey. 3 Hindus have been injured - Arun hajra, Kheru Hajra, Madhu and 65 year old mother of  Naru Modak. Taimur Rahman [Tutul], Panchaayat Pradhan-Ketugram 2, also played a dubious role.

However, some of the families inside Ketugram have got computers and also internet connections, and somehow or the other they came across the reportage of the Ketugram persecution in Hindu Samhati’s website. The word got around the entire village. Heartened and emboldened by the worldwide publicity of their plight by a strong Hindu organization, the villagers informed the govt. officials that their persecution has got international publicity through the net. They also informed the police that if their grievances are not solved, then  they will seek the active intervention of Hindu Samhati and invite Shri Tapan Ghosh to come to Ketugram and start an agitation.

This ultimatum seems to have sent a shockwave through the district police and administration, and immediately set the wheels in motion. Yesterday (14/04/2013) the local MLA (TMC) Sheikh Shahnawaz, District Magistrate Shri Omkar Singh Meena and the Addl. S.P. of Bardhaman came to the village and invited the Hindu and Muslim villagers to a meeting for an amicable solution to the impasse. The meeting took place in the community hall  Aikyatan Lodge.

As per the information received from our people in the area, the Hindu villagers had presented a charter of 4 demands to the magistrate. They are:

1)      The communal IC, Abdul Gaffar should be suspended immediately.

2)      All the Hindus arrested in the police action must be released immediately and unconditionally.

3)      The interrupted ritual bathing must be allowed to be completed.

4)     The procession for the ritual bath in the Ganga must be allowed to proceed along the traditional route with the accompaniment of 100 drums (dhak). That means that the procession must be allowed to proceed in front of the mosque with drumbeats and all.

5)      It must be guaranteed by the administration that henceforth the procession for ritual bath of Shiva deities must be allowed to proceed along the same route for every year in future.

In that meeting the Muslim representatives spouted an incessant stream of peace and brotherly love. It appears that the local Muslim community has got into a panic mode.

We have been informed that the DM has agreed to all the demands, and have asked the villagers to fix a date for the completion of the ritual bath themselves. But it is still in the stage of hearsay. Since the courts are closed today, release of the arrestees will have to wait till tomorrow. Also we will need 2-3 days to verify whether the demands of the villagers are met in full and the administration keeps its word.

Muslim radicals determined to grab Hindu property in Shantipur

Shanitpur is no naïve to rise of Islamic fundamentalism and in the recent years it went through lots of such assaults. There has not been any ending to such and the proliferation in anti-Hindu activities speaks on its own.

On April 9, 2013, Maniknagarpura, P.S. Shantipur, District: Nadia remained witness to a rabid onslaught of Muslim radicals to grab Hindu properties and a desperate Hindu defence to it.

The crisis, it has been learnt, is not sudden but has been going on surreptitiously for years and it stems from the land (worth above 32 bighas) having both a Muslim burial ground and a vast area where Hindus have been living for decades, if not more. In 1992, a bitter clash regarding the same land took place between the two communities. 

On the very day, April 9, 2013, local Muslims were found (all of a sudden) to fence the vast land including the area being used by Hindus as dwelling. And to thwart any counterattack from Hindus, a crowd of 5, 000 Islamists having lethal weapons had already been stationed. However, Hindu youths risking their own lives stopped the work and decided to look for legal measures to save themselves.   

With this end in view, a large number of Hindus went to Abdul Salim Karikar – vice-chairman of local municipality, but he opined that Muslims were doing no wrong. Hence, there was nothing to express disapproval. Shahjahan, local councilor, said the same also.

Finding no other option, Hindus went to local police station to lodge an official complaint. A deputation signed by tens of thousands of Hindus was also sent to District Magistrate, SP, SDPO, BLRO and Officer-in-Charge – P.S. Shantipur. 

On April 10, 2013, next day, Islamists (in large numbers) came to the same place once more. To save the situation, Hindus phoned police. A number of police personnel arrived there soon and stopped the work. The situation is tense still and on April 16, 2013, key members of the administration will be in an official meeting with 5 representatives of each of Hindu and Muslim groups. District Magistrate, SP, BLRO and Officer-in-Charge – P.S. Shantipur will represent the administration.

Hindus are devoid any help yet as Ajay Dey, local MLA, has expressed his helplessness outright already.

Hindus are determined and steadfast in their demand – without a legal and proper measurement of the disputed property no construction will be allowed.

Will Islamic fundamentalism rule the roost and destroy Hindus finally?

When both Bengal and Assam burn due to Islamic fundamentalism how can the rest of India be far behind. All these are said because the tentacles of Muslim radicalism, recklessly determined to balkanize Hindu-dominated India, is in full swing throughout the nation and with the passing of each day, the vicious stratagem is getting stronger and also being applied effectively.

There is no more need to introspect the spate of Islamists in both Assam and Bengal and castigate Hindus living in these tracts as non-martial and hence, cowards. Strikingly, terrains dominated by martial Hindus are also falling through, thanks to the cruel nexus between secularists, administration, underworld and certainly Islamists, and the situation is not far when the entire North India can be exploded. If truth be told, a section of intelligence considers that this whole area is sitting on a lump of gun-powder while the remote control to explode it is controlled by a group remaining in another part of the globe.

How many Hindus care to know of Kishangunj? Kishungunj district is in the Indian state of Bihar. It is one of the most backward districts in India but enjoys a burgeoning population always. And thanks to the regular illegal immigration of Bengali Muslims from Bangladesh, it has become a Muslim-majority district – Hindus, as usual, have become the worst sufferers.  

Are you tired to hear agonies of Hindus in the eastern part of India? Why don’t we move to South India, in particular Tamil Nadu, then? Let’s focus on Perambalur district in Tamil Nadu. As per governmental records, the district is not self-sufficient only but happens to be the leading maize and onion producer in the state. Now it has become a hotspot – a place where Islamists are flexing muscles day in and day out and counting on which they are trying to expand their tentacles.   

V.Kalathur happens to be an insignificant village in Perambalur district – Islamists are adamant to not let Hindus go on with their religious processions here. It has come to knowledge, four streets in the village contain a predominantly Muslim population; hence, they want that Hindu processions should evade these streets. Recently a Hindu marriage procession was stopped by Islamists while the administration remained helpless.

And this is not any stray incident – it’s the fallout of recurrent pessimism of Hindus – they are ready to seize the globe economically but are busy to forget the basis of economics – if Hindus lose land, no industry to fulfill Hindu dream will be left ever.

On the word of Arun Shourie (as expressed in the Indian Express in 2004) – “There are indications that the concentration of the minority community, including the Bangladesh immigrants, in the villages has resulted in the majority community moving to urban centres. Several towns in the border districts are now predominantly inhabited by the majority community but surrounded by villages mostly dominated by the minority community.”

“Lin Piao’s theory of occupying the villages before overwhelming the cities comes to mind, though the context is different. However, the basic factor of security threat in both the cases is the same.”
